A substantial rise in the registration of FIRs under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was witnessed in the Nurpur police district jurisdiction last year. The Nurpur police had registered 96 cases under the NDPS Act and arrested 175 peddlers last year. It had registered 79 cases and arrested 134 peddlers in 2024.
