US chipmaking giant Nvidia spent $900 million (nearly ₹8,000 crore) to hire Enfabrica's Indian-origin CEO Rochan Sankar and other staff and to license the AI hardware-making startup's technology, CNBC reported. Nvidia is paying in cash and stock as the deal closed last week, with Sankar having already joined Nvidia. Enfabrica has raised $260 million in venture capital so far.
