About 4,000 municipal workers in New York City could be fired if they cannot provide proof of receiving at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine due to the city's vaccine mandate, the mayor's office said. The number of unvaccinated workers represent about 1% of New York City’s 3,70,000 people workforce, which includes police officers, firefighters and teachers.
