O Yeong-su became the first Korean actor to win the Golden Globe Award for the Best Supporting Actor in a TV series. The 77-year-old won the award for his Netflix series 'Squid Game'. His co-star, Lee Jung-jae congratulated Yeong-su for the award and said, "Mr Illam (Yeong-su's character), congratulations. Every scene with my teacher was an honour."
