Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announced the implementation of new pay scale under 7th Pay Commission recommendations for the state government employees. Around 4.5 lakh serving employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners would benefit from the implementation. The CM said the state's additional annual expenditure would be ₹4,500 crore, adding that employees will get the pay hike from September's salary onwards.
