Nearly two years after West Bengal got Geographical Indication (GI) tag for its version of Rasgulla, Odisha on Monday received the GI tag for "Odisha Rasagola". The Chennai based GI Registry issued formal certification for "Odisha Rasagola" on its website. The GI tag for Rasgullas to the neighbouring states recognises two distinct varieties of the sweet in taste and texture.
