Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on Saturday said the system of contractual hirings will be abolished and that the services of over 57,000 contract employees will be regularised. He said this decision will cost the government ₹1,300 crore annually. "This decision brings early Diwali for their (contract employees) family members," he said.
