IAS officer and Dharamgarh Sub-Collector Dhiman Chakma, who was caught red-handed by Odisha Vigilance sleuths while taking ₹10 lakh bribe, was suspended with immediate effect. The vigilance team conducted a raid on June 8 based on the complaint of a businessman. The bribe money was recovered in the presence of witnesses, and a chemical test confirmed his contact with cash.
