Odisha to transfer maintenance from defaulting govt employees to ex-wives, kids

The Odisha government will directly transfer court-ordered maintenance payments from the salaries of defaulting government employees to their ex-wives and children, CM Mohan Charan Majhi said on Sunday. The amount will be deducted from monthly salaries of employees who fail to pay it and electronically transferred to beneficiaries. The decision comes after repeated complaints received by the CM.
