Oil prices may look stable at the pump, but state-run fuel companies are reportedly under heavy stress due to rising crude costs. Despite no retail price changes since April 2022, losses are estimated at about ₹18 per litre on petrol and ₹35 on diesel, with government duty cuts offering only partial relief.
