The Indian Navy's stealth frigate INS Tabar was engaged in rescue operations after a Pulau-flagged oil tanker caught fire in the Gulf of Oman, authorities said. The vessel has 14 crew members of Indian origin and it issued a distress call after a major fire in the engine room. It experienced a total power failure.
