Ola Electric has signed a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) agreement with the Ministry of Heavy Industries for indigenous cell manufacturing in India. "India will soon be self reliant on cell technology as we build tech & manufacture locally," CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said. Ola Electric is the only Indian EV company selected by the government under its ₹80,000 crore PLI scheme.
