Government is reportedly planning to expand the definition of e-commerce and looking to bring both product and services companies under its ambit. With the move, internet companies like MakeMyTrip, Ola, Uber, Swiggy, Zomato, UrbanClap and others, are expected to fall under the ambit of the new rules. E-commerce companies and their vendors could face penalties on violating the proposed rules.
