The Reserve Bank of India on Friday announced the exchange facility of old ₹500, ₹1,000 notes up to the current limit of ₹2,000 will be available at its counters. This comes after the exchange facility at bank counters was discontinued from November 24 midnight. While old ₹500 notes are still valid for select payments, ₹1,000 notes have been completely scrapped.
