A set of three old photos from the former Soviet Union’s Semipalatinsk nuclear test site in Kazakhstan are being shared falsely as showing US Department of Energy members inspecting nuclear fallout near Pakistan’s Kirana Hills. BOOM found that the photos are unrelated to the claim and were taken at the now-closed test site in Kazakhstan.
