Damian Warner, who won the gold medal in decathlon at this year's Tokyo Olympics, was voted as Canada's athlete of the year on Wednesday. Warner led the men's decathlon from start to finish and won with an Olympic record score of 9,018 points. A panel of journalists from across Canada voted from a pool of 24 nominated athletes.
