The Curie family is the only family in history to win five Nobel Prizes among them. Marie Curie and Pierre Curie shared the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics for their research on the radiation phenomenon. Marie was awarded 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Marie and Pierre's daughter Irène Joliot-Curie shared 1935 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with her husband Frédéric Joliot.
