A tragic accident occurred late at night on Thursday, June 12, near Ramapuram during the ongoing construction of the Chennai Metro Rail’s Phase-2 project, specifically on Corridor 5 between Porur and Chennai Trade Centre. A connecting bridge segment of the elevated track collapsed, resulting in the death of one person.
