One woman reported a rape every 15 minutes on an average in the country in 2018, according to the annual National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data released on Thursday. Women reported almost 34,000 rapes in 2018. About 85% led to charges, while the conviction rate dropped to 27.2% from 32.2% in 2017.
