Onida exits DVD business due to falling demand

After witnessing a falling demands, MIRC Electronics (the company which owns Onida) has decided to exit the DVDs business and will also phase out the CRT TV segment. It would instead focus on air-conditioners, LCD TVs, washing machines and mobile phones. The Rs 1,250-crore company expects to close this fiscal with a turnover of Rs 1,450 crore.
