On-demand grocery startup BigBasket has raised $8.02 million (about ₹52 crore) in funding from existing investors including UAE-based Abraaj Group. The funding round also saw participation from US-based Sands Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, and International Finance Corporation. Founded in 2011 by VS Sudhakar, Hari Menon, and others, BigBasket has raised over $585 million till date.
