After PM Narendra Modi alleged that key stanzas of 'Vande Mataram' were dropped in 1937, "sowing the seeds of Partition," Congress' Jairam Ramesh countered saying that Rabindranath Tagore himself suggested adopting only the first two stanzas. He said Tagore wrote to Jawaharlal Nehru on this issue. "PM Modi is now accusing Gurudev (Tagore) of harbouring a 'divisive ideology'," he added.
