India currently has 2-2.5 million active digital creators, defined as individuals with over 1,000 followers, a Boston Consulting Group report launched at WAVES 2025 revealed. However, only 8-10% of these influencers are able to monetise their content effectively. As per the report, there is a long tail of influencers who earn less than ₹18,000 per month.
