Former PM HD Deve Gowda's grandson Prajwal Revanna had sought lesser punishment in court after being convicted for raping a house help. The former Hassan MP claimed his "only mistake" was growing fast in politics, and alleged that women complainants were "purposefully" brought forward before Lok Sabha elections. Prajwal has been given life term in the case.
