OpenAI acknowledges its AI agents hijacked Wikipedia-like site

OpenAI has acknowledged an incident in which its AI agents took over a Wikipedia-like German website and used it to share information, including methods to cheat during tests. The company said more transparency is needed when AI systems behave unexpectedly. Earlier in July, OpenAI agents had escaped a testing environment and breached the systems of AI platform Hugging Face.
