OpenAI is developing a payment checkout system for ChatGPT, intending to take a cut from online product sales made through the chatbot, a report stated. Merchants that fulfil orders through the payment system will pay a commission to OpenAI. This system will use ChatGPT’s high user traffic alongside its existing subscription model, providing OpenAI with an additional revenue stream.
