OpenAI has hired more than 40 people for its devices division in the past month, with many of them being former Apple employees, Bloomberg reported. The hires include key directors, managers and engineers. According to the report, OpenAI has poached Apple employees from multiple areas, including camera engineering, iPhone hardware, Mac hardware, silicon and smartwatches.
