OpenAI is reportedly in discussions to buy AI-assisted coding tool Windsurf for $3 billion. The deal would be OpenAI's largest to date, the terms of which have not yet been finalised. Founded by Varun Mohan and Douglas Chen, Windsurf (formerly Codeium) was in talks with investors like Kleiner Perkins and General Catalyst to raise funds at about $3 billion valuation.
