OpenAI launched a research preview of Codex, a cloud-based software engineering agent for automating software development tasks such as coding, debugging and testing. Powered by codex-1, a version of OpenAI o3, it is available to ChatGPT Pro, Team, and Enterprise users. OpenAI has been working with group of external testers, like Cisco and Kodiak, to better understand its functions. ⁠
