OpenAI might need to raise nearly $207 billion by 2030 to fulfil current expansion plans, estimated HSBC analysts. The report stated OpenAI's current contracts with Microsoft and Amazon amount to $288 billion, covering 36 gigawatts of compute power. This would leave hole in finances as expected compute-rental costs are projected at $792 billion by 2030 and $1.4 trillion by 2033.
