OpenAI unveils new AI model, says it found high-severity flaw in Chrome

OpenAI has unveiled GPT-5.6-Cyber, a new AI model designed to help authorised defenders detect advanced cybersecurity threats. The startup said the model has already helped identify a high-severity vulnerability in Chrome's JavaScript engine, which Google has since fixed. The model also detected over 400 vulnerabilities in a popular operating system kernel, OpenAI said.
