OpenAI has warned that a small but significant portion of ChatGPT users show signs of serious mental health distress, including psychosis and suicidal thoughts. The company reported that around 0.07% of its 800 million weekly users exhibit such symptoms, prompting OpenAI to strengthen safeguards and collaborate with mental health experts to improve AI safety.
