Organisers detained, office bearers resign after Kolkata Durga Puja pandal stampede kills 19

Twelve people, including organisers and volunteers, have been detained in connection with the stampede at Kolkata's Chorbagan Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, which left at least 19 people dead and 25 injured. The general secretary and office-bearers of the Durga Puja committee have resigned following the stampede. West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari has set up an SIT to probe the incident.
