The Bombay High Court said that it was high time our country took cognisance of global happenings as several countries have reduced the age of sexual consent. HC said sexual autonomy also includes "the right to engage in wanted sexual activity". It acquitted a 25-year-old man convicted of rape after his 17-year-old partner said they were in a consensual relationship.
