OTT content will remain outside the jurisdiction of CBFC, the government informed the Parliament on Wednesday. It will continue to be regulated under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, government added. "These rules also outline a three-tier institutional mechanism for ensuring adherence to content-related norms," it said.
