The Pentagon has claimed that the US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities have degraded Iran's nuclear programme by up to two years. Earlier, US President Donald Trump had claimed that the US strikes had set back Iran's nuclear programme by decades. The US military, under Operation Midnight Hammer, had dropped bombs on Iran's nuclear sites at Isfahan, Natanz and Fordow.
