Our universe will die in about 33 billion years, researchers find

Researchers have found that the idea that universe undergoes endless expansion may eventually reverse. Axion, a fading particle with a negative cosmological constant, could reverse expansion and trigger universe's collapse called the Big Crunch, causing the death of all planets, stars and cosmic energy. They predict this process could start in 10 billion years, ending the universe in 33 billion.
