Ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has been poisoned in Russia, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The motive behind the assassination attempt was "to embarrass the Russian government and accuse it of being complicit" in his death, the rights group added quoting a source. A similar attempt was made on Assad in January this year.
