A dead duckling was reportedly found floating in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Sunday, triggering criticism on social media. It came after National Park Service workers were seen adding hydrogen peroxide to pool to tackle algae bloom. Journalist Rob Crilly said an expert told him the pool "could've signs of cyanobacteria", which can release toxins and potentially harm animals.
