The Iranian government confirmed that the death toll from the recent 12-day conflict with Israel has crossed 1,000 and is expected to rise further. Saeed Ohadi, the head of Iran's Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, warned the death toll may reach 1,100 given how severely some people were wounded. Israel had struck Iran's nuclear and military installations.
