All India Bank Officers' Association General Secretary S Nagarajan has said that he's lost over 1,000 colleagues already due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. "Bank employees are frontline workers and the virus is affecting them," he told Bloomberg News. Earlier, the Finance Ministry urged states and UTs to vaccinate employees of banks and insurance companies on priority.
