Bengaluru's Talaghattapura lake, which was rejuvenated in 2021 at a cost of ₹4.5 crore, has 2.72 acres of its 19.39 acres encroached upon, said the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Earlier, in 2011, the lake was reportedly restored for ₹4 crore. The encroached land reportedly holds residential buildings and roads under the layout of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).
