Police have launched an investigation after more than 20 fake CBSE-affiliated schools were detected in the Pune region. Police have exposed a gang that took ₹12 lakh each from multiple schools, and gave them fake documents and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for CBSE affiliation. Reportedly, it is a state-wide scam and more than 600 schools are under scanner across Maharashtra.
