Over 50% rise in Indian billionaires leaving the country: Report

The number of Indian billionaires living abroad has increased by over 50% from last year, rising from 101 to 156 this year, Mint reported citing the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026. The updated list includes 1,810 individuals, of whom 1,654 reside in India. Notably, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and his family top the list of the richest non-resident Indians (NRIs).
