Various banks have offered overdraft (OD) facility worth ₹5,000 crore to 49.39 lakh account holders under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY), Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on Tuesday. Under the scheme, one account per family can be opened with an overdraft limit of ₹5,000 subject to satisfactory operation of the account for at least six months, he added.
