A London borough has launched a crackdown on paan spitting, saying it's costing authorities over £30,000 (around ₹35 lakh) per year to clean the stains. Enforcement officers will patrol the area and those caught spitting paan on the streets will be fined up to £100, Brent Council said. "We've had enough of people staining streets with paan," the council stated.
