Padma Shri awardee Harekala Hajabba gets SIR notice over name discrepancy in K'taka

Harekala Hajabba, who received Padma Shri in 2020 for his work in promoting education, has received EC notice as part of SIR of electoral rolls in Karnataka. The notice has been issued over a discrepancy in name. According to sources, Harekala's name was recorded as 'Hajabba' in 2002 voters' list, while his name in subsequent official records is 'Harekala Hajabba'.
