Pak asks IMF to make condoms cheaper by letting it cut tax, it says no as Pak has no money

IMF rejected Shehbaz Sharif-led Pakistan government's request to make contraceptives, including condoms, cheaper by letting it cut taxes. IMF said such proposals should only be discussed in the upcoming budget. Pakistan was left red-faced as IMF said even such a tax cut, with a revenue impact of just ₹19.34 crore, wasn't possible as Pakistan struggles to meet its revenue targets.
