Pakistan increased its bonhomie with US at the cost of its "all-weather friendship" with China, according to Drop Site. Its 'London Plan' saw no new projects taking off under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) since 2022, when the Pakistan-US deal began fructifying. Pakistan's balancing act led to strained ties with China, which worsened over attacks on Chinese workers in Pakistan.
