The Punjab Police on Tuesday provided 25 bulletproof cars for the Pakistan Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials to reach Pathankot airbase from Amritsar airport. This comes as the Ministry of Home Affairs informed the police about a possible threat to the JIT by Islamic fundamentalist organisations based in Pakistan and their proxies in India.
